I was having a nice morning with my three-year-old grandson the other day. We were sitting out on the deck enjoying the beauty all around us and I asked him. “Jacob, who made the sky?” Jacob immediately said, “God did!.” “Jacob, who made the trees?” Again he immediately said “God did!.” I asked one more thing, “Who made the birds?” Jacob said with a little astonishment in his voice “Grandpa, God did!” He answered this time with a little soft voice that was filled with a curious tone, as if to say, “What is wrong with you?” for even asking the question. From the voice of a three-year- old comes a basic wisdom that King David had. You know the Bible states it this way.
Psalm 19:1 The heavens are telling of the glory of God and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.
Psalm 8: 3, 9 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars you set in place. How majestic is thy name in all the earth.
Just think, a three-year-old knows this profound but simple truth and imagine how this knowledge shapes a life.
What do you think?
